It started on a river, as all good stories should.
River Watz was born out of a simple observation while boating: “Why aren’t we doing more with all this moving water?” That thought, spoken somewhere between dodging floating logs and refueling a small outboard motor, sparked a chain of events that would eventually lead to a patented energy solution. One that turns rivers into renewable energy sources—without building dams the size of small countries.
Our founder, a seasoned contractor and problem-solver, brought together a crew of engineers, designers, marketers, and a few skeptics (they’ve since come around). What united us? A shared belief that the world doesn’t need more wind turbines in your backyard or solar panels the size of Nebraska. We need clean, consistent power—without the side effects.
So, we built it.
Well… first we drew it, then we argued about it, then we built a prototype roughly the size of a living room. It floated. It worked. The Corps of Engineers didn’t hate it. Momentum was real.
Today, River Watz is a growing company backed by a leadership team with decades of experience in construction, energy, marketing, operations, and yes—government paperwork. We’ve tested. We’ve proven the model. Now, we’re scaling.
We’re not flashy. We’re not here to reinvent physics. We’re just turning rivers into power, one platform at a time—because it turns out, the future of energy might just be floating past us.
